Brazilian modernism of the 1950s and 60s: Jorge Zalszupin, Sergio Rodrigues, Giuseppe Scapinelli, and the work of Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler for Forma. Dense tropical hardwoods — imbuia, jacaranda, caviuna — cut into shapes that are looser and warmer than their European counterparts.
