The table is crafted in richly grained teak with Østervig’s signature detail where the rounded legs transition seamlessly into the frame, creating a refined sculptural corner joint. The tabletop features a slightly raised lip with soft edges, giving the piece both a floating appearance and a tactile elegance.
This design exemplifies Østervig’s talent for merging functional minimalism with subtle organic curves, a hallmark of Danish modern craftsmanship during the postwar period. Its proportions make it ideal as a coffee or low centre table in a modern interior.
Beautiful condition with warm patina and vivid grain. Comparable in quality and expression to works by Finn Juhl and Grete Jalk.
We can handle shipping ourselves and are often much faster than other parties, with delivery to New York sometimes within two weeks or faster.
