Kurt Østervig
Kurt Østervig (1912–1986) was a Danish furniture designer trained as a shipbuilder in Odense, who worked at E. Knudsen’s studio before opening his own practice in 1947. Working chiefly in oak combined with leather, he designed furniture for several of Scandinavia’s largest manufacturers, and his work was exhibited at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
