Paolo Buffa

Paolo Buffa (1903–1970) was a Milanese architect and furniture designer, trained at the Politecnico di Milano, who briefly worked for Gio Ponti before opening his own Milan studio in 1936. His work moved from a Neoclassical–Art Deco sensibility, shown at the Milan Triennali of 1930, 1933 and 1936, toward the more minimal idiom of the 1950s and ’60s, working with Lombard craftsmen including the cabinetmaker Mario Quarti.
