Rare Stilnovo 3030 Wall Lamp, Italy, 1950s
Adjustable wall lamp by Stilnovo, model 3030, made in Italy in the 1950s. The design features a black lacquered metal shade with perforated details, a brass double-arm structure, and a black lacquered counterweight at the end of the arm.
Under the direction of Bruno Gatta, Stilnovo became one of the most refined lighting houses of postwar Italy. Gatta and his Ufficio Tecnico explored new combinations of lacquered metal and brass, giving their lamps a distinctive elegance that fitted perfectly into the modern interiors of the 1950s. The contrast between the dark lacquer and the warm brass added depth and tone, providing architects and clients with materials and colors that could tie a whole room together with subtle sophistication.
In great and working condition.
Please note that the black pole, to which the lamp is attached, is not part of the lamp, its exposition hardware.
And please reach out for sizes. FYI: the shade itself is 39 cm dia and the mounting plate is 29 cm. The length from the wall / mounting to the heart / center of the shade is roughly 120 cm, if you let it hanging as in the pictures but perpendicular to the wall.
