Rare 1950s Italian dining table with sculptural base in walnut and brass, a striking example of postwar Italian craftsmanship. The table stands out for the strong architectural quality of the frame: two sculpted A-shaped legs connected by a floating stretcher with soft interior curves, joined with beautifully aged brass brackets. These details give the table a refined, almost aerodynamic presence, with a balance between lightness and structural tension.

The green glass top is original and has a soft, elegant tone that pairs well with the warm walnut. The edges of the top are slightly curved and follow the tapered geometry of the frame. It is a table that feels unmistakably Italian in proportion and line, with the same sensibility you see in designers who played with sharp silhouettes and softened corners during this period. The angled legs give it a dynamic stance, while the rounded inner frame brings a calmer, more organic rhythm.

Condition is very good for its age, with an honest and even patina on the wood and brass. The table is stable, well-preserved, and ready for use. Pieces with this level of detail were produced in small numbers and rarely appear on the market, especially with the original top intact.

We chose to keep the original patina, as it gives the table more depth and preserves its quiet, authentic character. If preferred, the brass can of course be restored to a polished shine on request.
