This Italian credenza with mirror from the 1960s is executed in the style of Vittorio Dassi and is characterized by its expressive, almost futuristic shape and glossy, sculptural appearance. The design is built around strong geometry and layered surfaces, giving the piece a dynamic presence that changes with light and reflection.

The credenza stands on elegant, slightly bent legs in a darker, purplish-toned wood, finished with brass feet. This subtle colour contrast works well against the warmer brown and black tones of the body and adds depth to the overall composition. The drawer fronts are sharply articulated with raised ridges and chamfered edges, creating a rhythmic, architectural pattern that becomes even more pronounced through the reflection of the mirror above.

The top is finished with glass, underneath which a special pink paper is applied, giving the surface a very soft tint that is only visible under certain lighting conditions. In the left front corner, the glass has a few small chips. These are fully concealed by the wooden panel above and are not noticeable in daily use.

The mirror is mounted with four sculptural, shell-shaped brass clamps and sits partially recessed into a carved section of the credenza, reflecting both the geometry of the drawers and the materials below.

The combination of wood, glass, brass and mirror results in a lively surface with a luxurious, slightly theatrical character. It is an outspoken piece that works especially well as a counterpoint in more restrained interiors, while remaining fully functional with generous storage.
