High modular Wall Unit with Dry Bar in Wood, Metal and Brass, Italy, 1960's
€3.900,00 EUR
Rare 1950s–60s Italian modular wall system in wood with black lacquered steel uprights and refined brass detailing, featuring an integrated drop-front cabinet.
This elegant wall-mounted shelving unit is built around a vertical rail system, allowing full flexibility in composition. The shelves are executed in warm-toned wood, showing a rich and even grain, and are supported by slender black metal brackets with a distinctive triangular geometry. The brass connection elements add a subtle contrast and give the piece a more architectural, almost Gio Ponti–like refinement.
The central cabinet is fitted with a drop-front door, opening into a compact workspace or bar compartment. The inside is finished in matching wood and includes a shelf for organization. The front is accentuated by a horizontal brass handle, which visually ties the cabinet to the rest of the system.
The overall composition is light and graphic, with a strong sense of rhythm between the vertical uprights and floating shelves. It works equally well as a bookcase, display system, or functional storage unit with a discreet workspace element.
Condition is very good, with minor signs of age and use consistent with the period. The brass has developed a natural patina, and the wood surfaces retain a warm, well-preserved finish.
A rare and highly usable modular system that combines Italian modernist elegance with practical flexibility.
